The Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze

As I'm sure most of you know, I have a deep love of everything Halloween. So when I heard about The Great Jack-O-Lantern Blaze in New York, I knew that I had to go. It's like a Halloween Wonderland. If you're following me on Instagram, you may have seen my Instagram story from last weekend when I went, but I also wanted to share some photos that I didn't share there and more information about the event in case anyone wanted to attend. I know these all aren't the best quality photos, but my camera was having a technical issue that night so these were all taken on my phone.

The Blaze is a winding path displaying thousands of hand-carved jack-o-lanterns. They're actually made out of Funkins, which are those faux pumpkins that are made out of foam, so they don't rot on you. There are sounds effects and an original soundtrack, that can be purchased in the gift shop, to accompany each display. You can make your way through at your own pace and take your time. It took me about 45 minutes total to walk through the whole thing. The planetarium section was my absolute favorite, and where I spent the most time. There was also a land of dinosaurs, different animals, spiders, Celtic designs, a graveyard, and more. Sometimes Halloween stuff can be a little too scary for kids, but this was perfect for all ages to enjoy. They also serve snacks and beverages including a selection of seasonal beer. The Blaze is open every night from now until November 5, and then a few dates later in November. Buy your tickets online beforehand because they sell out pretty much every single night. A lot of times are already sold out, so act fast if you want to attend! This is definitely something I would go to again and I think it's worth the trip even if it's a couple hours away.
